Board of Directors, Officers and Committees
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is tasked with preparing and enforcing the Architectural
Guidelines approved by the Board of Directors under the authority granted them by Article I,
paragraph 3 of the covenants.
The Guidelines and the ARC assist all residents, in maintaining high standards of design and
compatibility in the community while being sensitive to the homeowners' enjoyment of their homes.
The overall goal of the ARC is to keep our community an attractive and desirable place in which to
live. It is hoped their guidelines will provide each resident with a practical means of accomplishing this
goal. When planning exterior alterations, please consult the guidelines available on this website and
submit the required applications.
Application forms are available on the documents page of this website. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to email the ARC.

Denise Saunders Thompson
Vice-President
I am a 4-year resident of Wexford Village II. My best friend, who is also a resident of
WXVII, introduced my husband and me to this great community. Once again, I am proud
to be of service to my community. I am originally from Tolland, Connecticut and
returned to the Washington DC metropolitan area in 1997 after completing my graduate
degree at UCLA and living in Atlanta, GA for a few years. Currently, I am a Professor in
the Department of Theatre Arts and Manager of Cramton Auditorium at Howard
University, Washington, DC (from which I graduated in 1992). I also founded
D.d.Saunders & Associates, Inc., a Fine Arts Advisory and Management Firm which
represents Performing Artists, Designers, and Arts Organizations and I serve as its
President and Chief Executive Officer. I am married to Darrin P. Thompson, Sr. (a
Washington, DC native) and am the proud mother of Kellen and stepson Darrin, Jr.

Committees
The Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for the exterior appearance of the community.
They manage the use and maintenance of the common areas including community entrances, open
spaces, and ground water retention sites. They also establish and help enforce rules for the play
area.
Fundamental to the Wexford Village II plan is the concept of openness. The Building and Ground
Committee supports the board and community by managing the landscaping maintenance and
monitoring the community for compliance with established regulations, restrictions, and guidelines.
Building and Grounds Committee
The Crime Watch Committee serves the community by monitoring local crime, informing members of
recent incidents, and coordinating education opportunities to assist homeowners in preventing
crime. They act as the community's direct liaison with local law enforcement agencies and advise the
board on recommended community actions to maintain a safe environment in which to live.
Crime Watch Committee
The Social Committee is responsible for the coordination of events and activities designed to bolster
our sense of community. These events include block parties, picnics, community yard sales, and
holiday functions.
With the busy schedule of work and family, our neighbors are easy to overlook yet it is the strength
of the community as a whole that will continue to make Wexford Village II a great place to live. The
Social Committee provides a means by which we can all get to know our neighbors a little better and
enjoy the benefits of living amongst friends.

Dan Zabecki
I am originally from Massachusetts, although my 24 plus years in the Navy's Submarine
Force brought me and my family to many parts of the United States. It is the experience
of living in a variety of communities that has taught me the benefit of a Community
Association. From maintaining the welcoming appearance to building a strong sense of
community, the association and its members play a large role in keeping Wexford Village
II a desirable, safe and social place to live.
My family and I have lived in the Wexford Village II community for 4 years during which
time I have co-chaired the Architectural Review Committee, authored the architectural
guidelines, and served as webmaster for the community web site. I welcome the
opportunity to better serve the community membership as a member of the Board of
Directors.
I retired from active duty with the Navy in 1998 and am currently the program manager
for development and acquisition of technical training programs for several submarine
launched missile systems.
The Finance Commitee assist the Board of Directors with all association financial matters including
budget formulation, investment strategies, and contracts management.
